Young Life begins

In Gainesville, a small town just north of Dallas, a pastor named Jim Rayburn began showing young people how God cares by showing up in their world then sharing the Gospel in ways and words they could easily understand.

Since 1957 students in Highland Park have experienced the same thing. We have seen hundreds of kids begin personal relationships with Christ and grow deeper in their faith.

100+

Countries with Young Life MINISTRY

Today, Young Life is a global organization. You'll find Young Life leaders from diverse cultures, nationalities and backgrounds in over 100 countries around the world.

Our volunteers range from working professionals balancing careers, family and ministry to college students who relate to college, high school and middle school students like no one else can.

Two million

young people reached

Whether it's in cities or villages, towns or tower blocks, in countries on every continent, Young Life leaders are working with over two million young people, meeting them right where they are.

Volunteer leaders in our area have built personal relationships with over 300 students enrolled in the schools in which we serve sharing not only the Gospel but their lives as well.

348,000

Kids involved weekly

Young Life, Capernaum & YL College leaders walk with kids and earn the right to be heard in an exhausting and exciting world. In 2018, 348,000 kids were involved every week all around the world.

In our area, 55 students joined their leaders at camp this year. Now those students are involved in Campaigners - small group Bible studies - every week!
